Jack Pellegrino

Jack has four decades of government contracting, procurement, and supply chain management experience, leading diverse contracting, procurement, and pricing staff teams in both the public and private sectors.

From 2013-2024 he served as Director of Purchasing and Contracting for California’s second most populous county, San Diego. It is there that he also offers his time as an adjunct lecturer with the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business and the Supply Chain Management undergraduate and graduate programs.

Jack is a former president of the California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO) and currently serves as a member of the Governing Board for The Institute for Public Procurement (NIGP). In addition, Jack was a founding member of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Public Promise Procurement Advisory Board, which was formed to strengthen public entities’ purchasing power and provide public agencies best-in-class cooperative contracts for goods and services.

Jack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas; a Master of Science degree in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Northrop University (Northrop Rice Aviation Institute); and an Advanced Specialization in Government Contract Management from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
